Test Preparations

➤ AVOID smoking and alcohol ingestion.

➤ Avoid strenuous exercise upon waking up prior to your appointment.

➤ Midstream collection: Do not collect the first or last part of urine that comes out.

➤ Specimens may be refrigerated up to 24 hours if a delay cannot be avoided.

➤ For ladies only: Urine sample must be collected 5 days AFTER the menstruation.

➤ No Fasting required.

➤ 10 to 12 hours fasting.

➤ 8 to 10 hours fasting.
